Black Barn Ranch: Newly built home w/ 5bd, 5bth, large open concept living area, pool, hot tub, media room and office. Big views of hillsides provide beautiful sunrises & sunsets. Conveniently located in the middle of SLO’s best wine region, hiking trails + 2 miles to the heart of downtown SLO. This is our family home so the pantry is well stocked, we have tons of games and puzzles, and lots of outdoor activities available to you as well: bocce court, shuffle board court, & corn hole.
While we won’t be always available in person, we are available to be messaged or called at any time.
This neighborhood is unique in SLO. It sits right on the county/city line and enjoys the benefits of both the county and city – animals graze in the pasture across the street at the neighbors’, gorgeous hillside views all around, and a quick 2 mile drive downtown or wine tasting. Large neighborhood with residences spread out.
The entire property is available to our guests, except the barn, barn loft, and barn yard which is rented separately and has its own private entrance.
This is a private family residence with an additional short term rental in the adjacent barn loft. Both spaces are very private from one another. This home was newly built in 2019 and features bright spaces with beautiful views in all directions. Located in the county but just a couple miles to downtown. Sits on 2.5 acres and feels private from neighboring homes.
The pool is very warm in the summer and early fall. If you’d like it to be heated in the off season, the cost is $100/day for the duration of your stay. The heating of the hot tub is included in your nightly rate.

We live on the property and aim to be available for whatever needs arise and happy to make recommendations for activities around town. However, the Airbnb location is separate and private, all windows and access points facing away from our residence.
Located just down the road to SLO’s best wineries / vineyards, and/or a stone’s throw the other way in to the heart of downtown SLO. If you are a Cal Poly family, the campus is a short 3 mile drive.
Guests will have access to the Barn Loft, deck space, Barn Yard and driveway area only. The space is designed to face away from the main house + is separate from the main living space of the homeowners, who use the rest of the property for their full-time residence and occasionally rent it out as well. The Barn Loft feels very private! Guests have 2 free parking spaces directly in front of the barn, steps away from the Loft access. We live in a beautiful neighborhood with sprawling properties – it’s a great place for a leisurely stroll!
Comfortable accommodations for 4 (2 queen beds), living space with plenty of comfy seating, a full kitchen, and a beautiful bathroom with laundry facilities. Vaulted ceilings, tons of natural light, newly built… you won’t want to leave!
While we are in the country, we are on the city line and directly across the street is a newer neighborhood. The main road in front of the Barn Loft is a 2 lane road but does get a little busier during morning and evening commute hours. If noise sensitivity is an issue for you, we provide a white noise machine for our guests in each bedroom. Only a few of our hundreds of guests have made small comments on the road noise, it really doesn’t seem to bother the vast majority of people.
